We like to call this syrup “Birch lite”. Sweet and mild, with the distinctive caramel-like flavor of birch, Kahiltna Gold Alaska Birch Breakfast Syrup is a wild harvested product made by concentrating birch sap to the perfect flavor concentration, then blending with pure organic evaporated cane juice to take it to syrup. This process results in a milder, somewhat sweeter syrup at a lower price, while still offering the distinctive flavor of birch. Like our early run pure birch – only lighter – our breakfast birch syrup is perfect for your pancakes, waffles, and French toast and is particularly delicious on sourdoughs. It can also be used in many of our recipes, instead of pure birch syrup, you just won’t get as much of that birchy flavor!
